About Us

Lincoln Community Concert Band was organized in Fall 1981 by Jack R. Snider, Director of Bands and Professor Emeritus of Music at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Members of the band are adult volunteers from many walks of life who enjoy playing their instruments and wish to continue making music.

The LCCB rehearses on a "school year" schedule and presents four concerts each year, all of which are free and open to the public.  LCCB rehearses at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 7-9 PM on Monday evenings.  The band is open to adults of all experience levels as long as sections are not full.  For more information on becoming a member of LCCB, contact us at contact@lincolncommunityconcertband.org.

Mission statement: The Lincoln Community Concert Band provides opportunities for audiences to experience free, live performances by volunteer musicians who love making music with friends of all ages.
