Lincoln Community Concert Band was organized in Fall 1981 by Jack R. Snider, Director of Bands and Professor Emeritus of Music at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Members of the band are adult volunteers from many walks of life who enjoy playing their instruments and wish to continue making music.
The LCCB rehearses on a "school year" schedule and presents four concerts each year, all of which are free and open to the public. LCCB rehearses at Moore Middle School from 7-9 PM on Monday evenings. The band is open to adults of all experience levels as long as sections are not full. For more information on becoming a member of LCCB, contact us at lincolncommunityconcertband@gmail.com.
Mission statement: The Lincoln Community Concert Band provides opportunities for audiences to experience free, live performances by volunteer musicians who love making music with friends of all ages.
2024-25 restart: Our first rehearsal will be on Monday, August 26!
